Precious men ♥
Context behind the first GIF:
Sho: Ohno-san, you once played a Shinsengumi character, right? Could you feel the charm of these historical figures?
Ohno: I read the books.
Sho: You read quite a bit of them, right?
Ohno: Yeah, I did. They were a legend, weren’t they?
Nino: Who would you say is their modern equivalent?
Ohno: Arashi, I guess?
Sho & Nino: *whacks*
Nino: STOP IT.

Thank you for bringing joy into my childhood and life with your voice and acting. Thank you for your contagious jokes, your wacky impersonations, and amazing acting. Thank you for making my childhood experience better, and thank you for bringing joy to those even though you battled with your own joy. If only you could have known how much you’ve impacted people. Your life work will live on, and you will never be forgotten. I know I won’t forget you. Thank you for helping me whenever I felt sad and having a film for every mood. Gone, but never forgotten.

With much sadness, it was announced that Studio Ghibli will be -briefly pausing- its animation production department. [EDIT: The news is not final.] Their films have been some of my favorites, and their characters have inspired me since childhood. Here’s to them and the wonderful stories they have given us.

After recent rumors of Studio Ghibli closing their animation department and the low box office numbers for When Marnie Was There, it was time to make an appreciation post for a company that has created true movie magic again and again. So, thank you, Studio Ghibli. Hopefully it isn’t good-bye just yet.Studio Ghibli is no longer producing animated films. So here’s to you, Ghibli, and everything you’ve given us.
I feel like I’m gonna cry.
